NO SIGNAL 2022 - AMIGA | BrillianceII Animation - Trailer

Hello everyone,

In 2022 I plan to create my biggest animation ever using only Brilliance II on the Amiga and push the software to its limits.

If you would like to be part of this journey please submit a photo (what best represents you, Ideally either a photo of you or your social avatar).  You can see what I have done so far in the current teaser video, OH and the name/ID you might like attached to the animation.  All photo credits added to the end of the video.

Any questions please let me know.

A-MIGA Paint

A-MIGA Paint

Is a concept for AmigaOS machines.

A modern painting/animation software tool that blends all the nice features of our favourite paint programs on the Amiga (Deluxe Paint/Brilliance)

I've spend months on the project back in 2013.  These files sit on my harddrive and while I have always enjoyed contributing to other paint packages in recent times, I still crave good tools.

Current tools I use are:

PPaint 7.3 (68k)
Brilliance 2
Photoshop
Graphx2

Main Menu and Various tools

Zoomed export - custom Png Alpha menu

Tileable texture creation panel with zoom

Symmetry tool

Other designs not included in the post include:

- Complex gradient generators using images with colour limit settings
- Saving animated brushes with Sprite editor
- Lighting effects
- Animated gradients (think modern colour cycling)

...and much more... One can Dream :)

Other tools used in the past:

Opalpaint | TVpaint-AuraPaint | Gimp | ?

MIG n ZIGGY - Amiga Platform Game

16 colours

Underthreat - Amiga 16 colour Shootem up - WIP

A quick concept below of how a shoot em up for the Classic Amiga's I'm working on might look like with the limit of 16 colours at 320x256(PAL) (or 320x200 NTSC). Still working on palette optimisations :)

The graphics will be hand drawn all enemy animations will be created/rendering in 3d (Lightwave) and converted to the colour palette.   This project as with many others I'll play around with and research overtime.

Below is a test of how the background could look using the copper effect (I need to research what the limitations are)

Earlier in my blog history I do have a link to a full HD version (platform?)

---

Example Player and Enemy Sprites created in 3D

Recently refined graphics, new scorebar with custom colour palette.

Potential idea with background colours changing as you get closer to end Boss.

Update 16th May 2015:

Some experimentation with the Slime? level, converting 26 colour images to 8bit 256 or less (retro look).  Click for larger view.

Note: Creating high resolution graphics (24bit | HD) takes alot longer the pixel work at 320x256 resolution.

How to progress with the design of Underthreat is unknown but the main part is it's fun working on every element :)

As always critiques always welcome :)

---
Weapons:

Here is a starting idea for weapons.

It's by no mean optimised, starting ideas :)

---

The WIP weapon system:

The concept here is each time you play a level you can choose what weapons you prefer.  Over time you can collect new weapons by collecting them in each level. Once you have completed the game you gain an extra weapon.   This is still a work in progress.

Fatal Danger - Amiga A500 - Dpaint

Fatal Danger was an early (1990's) Shoot em up game for the Commodore Amiga.
Designed with Electronic Arts - Deluxe Paint.

Created somewhere between in the late 1980's early 90's.

Included in this design is the background, aliens and player ship sprites.

I believe this version was designed for 320x256 (PAL) with 16/32? colours (no parallax effects)

Anyone skilled coders interested help re-create this horizontal shoot em up :)

This is the swamp tileset (click for image for larger version)

A quick composite for the "Space" end alien (classic/HD)

Here is the complete set (finally found those older files)

Dots Adventures - Amiga Platman

No matter when I'm designing graphics, Amiga always draws me back :)

----------------------------

Check out our first promo video

And our Promo video for the Halloween map

----------------------------

Would really love to see this game on the Amiga. :)

Dots Adventures is out now for iOS with other platforms coming very soon!

A free to play game by EMV Software based on an old Amiga game called Platman.

iPad version

iPhone version

Dots Adventures is a classic retro style room based platformer. Dodge the enemies, find the keys and collect the pickups to score big and progress. Complete rooms quickly and cleanly for extra score bonuses and star awards. More stars means more points and higher rankings. Like all EMV Software games we have worked hard to make the game slick, fast and great fun to play. (This game comes from EMV Software, maker of Deluxe Galaga on the Amiga and Warblade, its sequel on PC and other platforms among many other titles.)

You can play the full Retro map for free. You must help Dot find his golden joystick so he can play his favourite game of all time, Warblade, and reign supreme in the world rankings. You can also buy the added adventures to get huge new maps with hundreds more rooms, all new graphics, new music and tougher, longer challenges. In Robozone you must defeat the droid army and in Lazerquest you must escape the digital world he is trapped in. Halloween sees Dot trick or treating at the witches castle and she has captured him and thrown him in her dungeons.

We have more maps in development too and they will be available to buy ingame soon...
This game is great for all ages, we hope you enjoy it and have lots of fun!

- RETRO map complete and free. Download the game now! No obligation to buy.
- 3 extra (much bigger) maps available to buy right away.
- and at least 2 more maps already planned and in development.
