NEONworld - free AMIGA game assets

 Hey Everyone,

Want to build your own Amiga game but don't have assets, we'll I decided create assets ready to use and build a game in your favourite engine or your own.  The graphics are OCS and 16 colours, this should cover every Amiga platform including the very first Amiga 1000.

I plan to do more game assets for people to play with over time. (I have other assets such as Tetris clone, and Space Invaders, but newer ideas will come)

This screenshot shows the example map created in "Tiled" and the complete game assets in the bottom right section.

If your interested in future please read the details and grab the assets from my patreon site. (zip file)

https://www.patreon.com/posts/neonworld-2020-42472876

The idea is to encourage more people to play around with the newer engines such as RedPill, Scorpion or work on their own.

P.S. The only condition is the game is free and add credits and links back to me :)
If you enjoy what I do, please consider becoming a Patreon or send a Beer :)

How to use Photoshop like Dpaint on the Amiga - Reshoot Proxima III

Using the Mac/PC in a similar way to Dpaint on the AMIGA.  That is creating a split zoom screen so you can see a nice zoomed pixelated window and a 100% window.

At the moment it's members only but will be open to public in a few days :)

P.S. Hope you all are well while we have this global corona virus.

The year is nearly closing and I want to say a sincere heartfelt thankyou to all my Patreons.

https://www.patreon.com/KevinSaunders

While I am working on an official animation using the Amiga for the end of year celebrations I hope you enjoy the quick review of this very busy but amazingly fun year with the Amiga.

I am very proud to be part of "ReshootR" and "Rygar" release for 2019 and can't wait to bring out not only "Reshoot Proxima II" and "Iridium" but a few other surprises including some "BrillianceII" Tutorials. Before the end of this year I plan to post a few exclusive pics that have I have been working on, some experimental work for a future ECS shooter as well as other projects and insights to my plan/schedule for 2020.  As always I'd love to hear from you.

AMIGA Patreons who I support :)

It's really nice to give a little back to all the people who I appreciate in the Amiga Community.  I have a small patreon site and a few very generous people are helping my may Amiga dream come true.

https://www.patreon.com/RETREAM/
Simone Bevilacqua, deserves more patreon's with his wonderful selection of games. He caught my attention some time ago but was with his most recent game Blastaway being developed for the AmigaOS that persuaded me to help support him.

https://www.patreon.com/bjorn
Bjorn's Tiled Map Editor is open source but without it. Reshoot, Rygar, Iridium and other games would not be possible.  I made a recent suggestion to his fabulous Map Editor and the next day the idea was implemented, how awesome is that. I use his Editor everyday.

I have known Richard for a few years now and have loved working with him on his Reshoot and ReshootR games.  It is an absolute pleasure and we are currently working hard on our next AAA Amiga game, more info coming soon.

I have followed Michael Parent's youtube and Patreon site and after today's twitch stream was so impressed that I needed to support this very passionate and professional man.  He works closely with Corey Annis and make a great team.

Map Tiled Editor - Great tool helping Amigans make games

Bjorn is my first Patreon I have supported and honoured to support software that helps us Amigans develop more games :)

As most of you know, Im busy working on Iridium game, just finished ReshootR and other (Amiga) projects in the background continue.  If it wasn't for other great software such as Tiled Map Editor https://www.mapeditor.org/  my game development would be alot harder or possibly non existent.

I have now become a Patreon of this open source developer (small monthly donation), nice to give back to other developers.  What made me decide to do this besides feeling guilty using free software i use all the time and the professional interaction from Bjorn the coder.
My message to him on his Discord channel was ..... "hello bjorn/everyone.  I have a quick question.  Is there any way of selecting a layer by clicking on a tile? In photoshop for example you can hold down command key (mac) and it goes the the layer.  The layer I want to get to quickly is (Overlay Layer) but currently in (Structure Layer).  When you have lots of layers it can be time consuming turning other layers on and off.  Still and awesome Editor, just trying to increase my workflow, hope you all are well  happy mapping." ..... Not only did I get a response but also got the idea implemented, how cool is that.

I look forward to showing more of how I use this tool for Amiga development.

All the maps in Rygar for example have been created using this software.
Ok back to developing, thank you for everyones support.

Amiga - Colour Cycling 001

I have always enjoyed many facets of the Amiga. Using either Brilliance 2 or Dpaint to create animations using the colour cycling palette option. The amazing thing about the Amiga is this trick can be created using the copper also (so only one colour used)

I'm creating 12 animations like this in 2019.
(only Patreons can see and download source IFF file) Can you guess what the next animation might be :)

32 colour 320 x 256 (created with Brilliance 2)

Patreon Site - coming soon

I'm a big fan of the Amiga and have worked hard in contributing for our favourite computer over many years including back to the Amiga Inc days. My focus is either graphic design or game development.  The most recent published games are Dots Adventures and RESHOOT.

I would like to dedicate more of my spare time developing for the Amiga Platform, Classic and NG. We need as many developers as possible.

Once the site is open you will get a sneak peek into behind the scenes of project

- Access to source files (2d, 3d)
- PPaint Tips and tutorials
- Sketchblock Tips and tutorials
- Work in progress of game development
- Shelved projects (games - till we find a developer)
- Observations and suggestions of improving AmigaOS
- Other fun projects for Patreons only
- Developed concepts for Amiga Inc that got shelved
- Insight to who I'm also helping or have helped in the Amiga scene, past and current
- Open to other suggestions and projects

So for the cost of a cup of coffee I hope you will support me, more info coming soon :)
